Sacred Feminine

People's life's are just tapestries
Of who we our and what we'll be
We weave and hope to make them rich
With utmost care on every stitch

Our looms they take on different looks
Influenced by people, places, and books
But intermingled and wove with care
Are all the loves that we have shared

I think that mine reflects a tone
Where love was taught and finally shown
My colors now run deep and true
And for that, I must thank you

Tints and shades both subtle and bold
Reveal a love that's proudly told
And any stranger could easily see
How much you mean in my tapestry

You're the one who always heard
My inner feeling, the silent word
Knew the glance, reassured my smile
Didn't mind if I searched awhile

You're the one who meant so much
Brought love to bloom with a single touch
You're the one who enriched my life
But never considered to be my wife

So now from you, oh lovely queen
On velvet night with stars serene
I must reclaim what's left to me
The portrait of you, my tapestry
